Four major European funded projects that UNICollaboration has been involved with have now concluded with Final Reports accepted by the EACEA (The European Education and Culture Executive Agency) and the respective National Agencies.
Two highly scoring projects including one classified as ‘excellent’.
The two are – GODIJIP on Digitalising Joint Programmes and FRAMES on Integrating and Accrediting VE and Blended Mobility within Higher Education Institutions in Europe and beyond, scoring 89 out of 100 and 93 out of 100 respectively.
The Godijip project was coordinated by the University of Padova with the universities of Bergen and AgroParisTech and in partnership with UNICollaboration.
This Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project focused on introducing digital elements in Joint Programmes and aimed to develop a digitized, innovative, collaborative and
quality-oriented Higher Education, providing instruments to sustainably mainstream new virtual teaching platforms.
Open access platform
Within the project, the GODIJIP AMPLIFIER Platform was developed, intended as an open-access, collaborative platform designed to expose and amplify sustainable practices of digital teaching, learning and assessment as well as intercultural and networking activities within Joint Programmes.
About the Frames project
The FRAMES project – Fostering resilience through Accredited Mobility for European Sustainable Higher Education was coordinated by UNIMED.
The FRAMES project aims to foster a harmonised implementation and accreditation of Virtual Exchange, as an integral part of (blended) mobility approaches, among European Higher Education Institutions, making the European Higher Education Area more innovative, intercultural and resilient.
The project stemmed from the impact that the COVID-19 emergency was having on student mobility flows, and aimed to help European universities rethink student mobility in innovative ways, both regarding the use of digital technology to complement and enrich traditional mobility, and to use mobility to build important soft skills such as intercultural communication, teamwork and critical thinking.
The project activities focused around:
- capacity building of the internationalisation and support staff of university in charge of integrating and accrediting innovative blended mobility activities
- a multiplication mechanism to extend the project results to any interested university in the EU and beyond
- a blended mobility integration framework that targets decision makers within universities
UNICollaboration’s role
UNICollaboration’s role within these projects, has been to provide high quality training in how virtual exchange can support these new emerging and evolving contexts including the development, design and implementation of virtual exchange projects.
